Scope 1.1 This Standard applies to plugs, receptacles, and connectors for communication systems intended to electrically terminate (a) communication cords (b) communication cord sets or (c) equipment that is connected to an exposed communication plant or connected to a telecommunication network in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. 1.2 The rated voltage-to-ground of plugs, receptacles, and connectors covered in this Standard is 150 V rms maximum.
