Description
Preface This is the harmonized ANCE, CSA Group, and UL standard for Cable Management Systems %u2013 Cable Ties for Electrical Installations. It is the second edition of NMX-J-623-ANCE, the second edition of CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 62275, and the second edition of UL 62275. This edition of NMX-J-623-ANCE supersedes the previous edition published in 2010. This edition of CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 62275 supersedes the previous edition published in 2010. This edition of UL 62275 supersedes the previous edition published on February 26, 2010.  This harmonized standard is an adoption, with national differences, of the identically titled IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) Standard IEC 62275 (second edition, 2013-11). IEC publication 62275 is copyrighted by the IEC.  Scope This International Standard specifies requirements for metallic, non-metallic and composite cable ties and their associated fixing devices used for the management and support of wiring systems in electrical installations.  Cable ties and associated fixing devices may also be suitable for other applications and where so used, regard should be taken of any additional requirements.  This Standard does not contain requirements that evaluate any electrical insulation properties of the cable tie or mechanical protection of the cables provided by the cable tie. This Standard does not consider the mechanical interface of a fixing device to a solid surface such as a wall or ceiling. 1DV.1 D2 Modify the first paragraph as follows:  This Standard specifies requirements for metallic, non-metallic and composite cable ties and their associated fixing devices used for the management and support of wiring systems in electrical installations in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), Part I, CSA C22.1, in Canada, Standard for Electrical Installations, NOM-001-SEDE, in Mexico, and the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA 70, in the United States of America.  1DV.2 D2 Modify by deleting the last paragraph in Clause 1 and adding the following note:  Note - This Standard considers the mechanical interface of a fixing device to a surface when the means for securing is provided with the fixing device (See 9.7.1DV, 9.7.2DV, and 9.7.3DV).
