This CSA Standard and CAN / CSA-Z10651-5-08, Medical Lung Ventilators - Specific Requirements for Basic Safety and Essential Performance - Part 5: Gas-Enabled Emergency Resuscitators replace CAN / CSA -Z8382-94, Resuscitators for Human Beings.  Application domain Resuscitators whose motive power is electric or gas are not dealt with in this European Standard.  Note:   Annex B presents the rationale for the requirements of this part of the European Standard. The articles and paragraphs that are the subject of justifications bear an R) after their number.
