More About This Product

Description

The requirements in this Standard apply to non-metallic raceway systems used to enclose optical fibre cables, communication cables and electrical wires and cables with combustible insulation and jackets that are rated FT4 and higher designed for use in accordance with CSA C22.1, Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1, Safety Standard for Electrical Installations, and the National Building Code of Canada.

The requirements in this Standard apply to non-metallic raceway systems for use with single insulated conductor and multi-conductor cables that are permitted to be installed either horizontally or vertically in accordance with CSA C22.1, Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1, Safety Standard for Electrical Installations, and the National Building Code of Canada.

Provisions are included in this Standard to allow for an optional measurement of light obscuration in the combustion stream in the exhaust duct.

This new edition has removed reference to the classification of tested raceways (Class A and B) in order to align with the performance requirement for FT4 rated raceways in the National Building Code of Canada.
