CSA Preface This is the first edition of CSA ISO 10855-2, Offshore containers and associated lifting sets — Part 2: Design, manufacture and marking of lifting sets, which is an adoption without modification of the identically titled ISO (International Organization for Standardization) Standard 10855-2 (first edition, 2018-05). Standards development within the Canadian Offshore Structures sector is harmonized with international standards development. This Standard has been developed in compliance with Standards Council of Canada requirements for National Standards of Canada. It has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group. Scope This document specifies requirements for lifting sets for use with containers in offshore service, including technical requirements, marking and statements of conformity for single and multi-leg slings, including chain slings and wire rope slings.
