This one hour continuing education course provides and overview of Heat Detection of a Fire Condition including an animated demonstration of heat detector and sprinkler response in a fire condition, followed by:
- Discussion of “dual action” and “fixed temperature only”.
- Cut-away views showing rate-of-rise and fixed temperature function
- How to identify operation type (especially “fixed temperature only”.)
- Conventional detector operation versus addressable-type heat detector.
- Acceptable and unacceptable test methods.
- Installation considerations and cautions
- Specific S524 Installation requirements
- Other detector types including Linear Heat Detection
Following the online seminar, there is a short quiz to test comprehension of the material in the seminar.
