Description

Welcome to the UA/MCA joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee Apprentice application process. The process is used to apply for Plumbing Steamfitting/Pipefitter, SprinklerFitter, Welder, Instrumentation, and HVACR apprenticeship within U.A. Local 213 and 325.

UA 213 represents the unionized SteamFitter/Pipefitters, Welders, Instrumentation and Plumbers of the Southern part of the province which is made of the following five (5) counties.  Queens, Kings, Charlotte, Saint John, and Albert.

UA 325 represents the unionized SteamFitter/Pipefitters, Welders, Plumbers, Sprinklerfitters, Instrumentation, and HVACR that are in the Northern part of the province which is made up of the remaining counties.

There are two stages to the process:

  1. Online application
  2. Online aptitude test

For those meeting the minimum requirements, you will be askes to complete a Predictive Index survey and invited in for a personal interview.

Upon completion of the all the sections of the process, the successful candidates will be ranked in accordance with their overall score.  They will be given to UA local 213 or 325 based on the geographic address and trade.

As the work demand dictates, groups of candidates will be brought in for an orientation prior to being sent out to work as an apprentice for either UA local 213 or 325

All applicants will be contacted and informed of their status throughout the process.
