These requirements cover the construction and performance of Halons 1301, 1211 and halocarbon clean agent recovery and reconditioning equipment intended for use in: A) recovering Halons 1301, 1211 or halocarbon clean agent from fire extinguishing system containers and removing contaminants; or B) recovering and transferring Halons 1301, 1211 or halocarbon clean agent from fire extinguishing system containers without removal of contaminants.The equipment is intended for indoor use in a commercial halon or halocarbon clean agent system servicing or reconditioning facility. These requirements cover (1) products intended for permanent connection to 600 V or lower potential circuits, and (2) products intended for cord connection to 300 V or lower potential circuits. The cord connection, where one is used, and the electrical components and system within the product shall comply with the CSA C22.1-02, Safety Standard for Electrical Installations, Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.
