More About This Product
Description
These requirements provide the minimum performance criteria for double containment linings used for new and existing aboveground and underground non-pressure storage tanks made of steel or non-metallic construction for flammable and combustible liquids. Aboveground tanks shall be with secondary containment in accordance with the requirements of the National Fire Code of Canada or the regulations of the authority having jurisdiction.
The linings may be used to upgrade a new or existing tank through the addition of a liquid tight layer to the interior of the tank and by providing a monitorable interstice between this interior layer and the external tank wall at all locations below the normal liquid level of the tank.
The linings are constructed of fibreglass reinforced plastic materials. These linings provide protection against internal corrosion or chemical attack to new or existing tanks.
The linings may be used to provide leak detection and structural upgrade to existing tanks.
The linings are intended for use in the construction, refurbishment, or upgrade of tanks manufactured in accordance with the applicable requirements of any one of the following Standards:
A ULC-S601, Standard for Shop Fabricated Steel Aboveground Horizontal Tanks for Flammable and Combustible Liquids; or B ULC-S615, Standard for Reinforced Plastic Underground Tanks for Flammable and Combustible Liquids.
