Description
These requirements cover tellers' lockers intended for convenient deposit and storage under timelock of excess funds, which might otherwise accumulate and be exposed openly on cashiers' or tellers' counters during an attempted robbery.
Tellers' lockers may consist of a reserve cash compartment only, a combination cash drawer and reserve compartment in a single unit, or an assembly of these and other units necessary to the proper handling of funds during business hours.
Devices of this class are designed to afford a reasonable minimum of mechanical resistance to tools likely to be employed in a robbery. Since the devices will be equipped with a timelock with a minimum delay of 15 minutes, due consideration has been given to the selection of tools and the mechanical resistance expected.
