This course will take approximately 1 hour to complete and includes the following topics: 

  • Determination of healthcare building major occupancy classification, 
  • Construction requirements applicable to healthcare buildings, 
  • Applicable fire safety system and building design requirements for healthcare facilities within OBC Part 3. 

The presentation is intended to assist designers, authorities having jurisdiction, facility managers and operators, and engineers in their understanding of the application of the Ontario Building Code, Part 3 for fire protection and life safety within healthcare facilities.

There is also a short quiz at the end of this CE to test your understanding of the materials presented.
