This presentation provides descriptions of the different divisions of dangerous goods for compressed gases, what risks they present, and how specific risks are managed and mitigated under Section 5.6 of the Ontario Fire Code and other recognized standards and Codes. In addition to the Ontario Fire Code, the presentation also introduces applicable requirements for compressed gases found in the Ontario Building Code, National Fire Code of Canada, and NFPA 55, “Compressed Gases and Cryogenic Fluids Code”, 2023 edition.

Complete the course and achieve a score of 70% or higher on the quiz to receive 1 CFAA Category 1 credit. Scores below 70% will receive 0.5 CFAA Category 2 credit upon course completion. No certificate is issued for CFAA credits.

The presentation is intended to assist designers, Authorities Having Jurisdiction, facility managers and operators, and engineers in classifying and regulating compressed gases in cylinders in relation to the application of the Ontario Fire Code.
There is also a short quiz at the end of this CE to test your understanding of the materials presented.
