- We will define the different life safety systems in a building that are required to be inspected and tested
- Go through the various codes and how they apply in each province in Canada
- Explain how the building code relates to the fire code
- Understanding the responsibilities of the building Owner Operator vs Service Provider vs AHJ under the Fire Codes
- Define what high buildings are and what the requirements are for testing
- An overview of each the life safety systems and the specific testing requirements for each
- A discussion on correct and incorrect report documents
The presentation is intended to assist building owners, facility managers and operators, and anyone with an interest in the life safety requirements of our buildings, gain an understanding of inspection testing and maintenance requirements and best practices within the regulatory framework of the Ontario Fire Code.
There is also a short quiz at the end of this CE to test your understanding of the materials presented.
